nine today

Nine years ago today, my daughter was born. Truth be told, I really didn't want a girl. As a sister to five brothers, I'm much better with those guys. And along came Ana Kate to shake things up. I can't imagine our lives without her smiling face and creative spirit. She's a sweet and generous person. She even is beginning to share my love of sewing and fabric ... how awesome is that?
