wishing spring here

I'm working on one of my quilting goals for 2011 (I know, already).

I saw this pattern, called Round About, by Heather Mulder Peterson of Anka's Treasures, and loved it.
(It appeared in the October 2008 edition of American Patchwork & Quilting.)

I also was loving Valori Wells' Nest fabric.

So 'two' of a good thing can only make 'a great quilt'.

Here's the math:

Pattern that looks harder than it is
+
Beautiful fabric
=
Great quilt

I'm not quite done, but making great progress on this.

Best of all, after I got a few blocks done, I realized they kind of form a nest for the birds.

And with a foot of snow still on the ground, I'll do just about anything to think spring.

What are you working on?

I'ts so nice to work inside on spring colors when it's white outside.
